DSI Juvenile Tie

A neat, pre-tied black tie for young dancers: the finishing touch that makes a competition shirt look properly put together, without the fiddle of tying a knot on the morning of a heat.

It sits ready-made, with an adjustable clasp at the neck so you can get a comfortable fit quickly. Choose the finished length that suits your dancer (measured from the bottom of the knot to the tip), and you’re done.

Finished length

Available in 6", 8", 10", 12" and 14". These are the length of the tie itself, measured from the bottom of the knot to the tip: not a neck measurement.

Approximate neck fit

The neck strap adjusts with a clasp (pictured). We measured it in store at its smallest and largest settings:

  • 6" length: approx. 12"-16" neck (30-41 cm)
  • 8" length: approx. 14"-16" neck (36-41 cm)
  • 14" length: approx. 15"-16" neck (38-41 cm)
  • 10" and 12" lengths: measurements to follow; email us if you’d like us to check before ordering

These measurements were taken as a guide to help dancers choose, and there may be occasional slight variations.
