The Electra is a juvenile Latin skirt made here in Blackpool for young dancers who want proper fringe movement in training and on the competition floor.

A smooth black lycra waist section sits comfortably on the hips, then drops into four tiered layers of 15cm Tacatel stretch fringe. The fringe has enough weight and density to swing cleanly with hip action and turns, while still giving good coverage.

How to measure

Measure over underwear or a leotard, with the tape snug but not tight. All measurements in centimetres, please.

Waist
Tie a string round the narrowest part of the body and let it settle. Measure there.
Hips
Around the fullest part of the hips and seat, feet together.
Skirt lengths
From the waist string to the hem. Ballroom sits on the lower calf; Classical finishes about 5cm above the ankle bone.
